World War II. During the war the main focus of the business was repairing shoes for the armed forces. Following World War II, the family opened a wholesale warehouse in Liverpool City Centre selling shoes to UK retailers.
In 1979 the company decided to begin importing quality leather baby and children’s shoes from Portugal and Spain. Fast forward to 2001 and the growth of the baby and children’s shoe department had been exponential with the company shifting focus to deal exclusively in the baby and children’s footwear market.
In 2011 they were able to source a factory in Portugal to produce the high quality shoes that they had been looking for and then subsequently introduced Their own brand to the market, Borboleta™ as well as acquiring the already well established brand Fofito™. Both the brands are now highly regarded within the children’s footwear industry.
